At our office in Søborg, Denmark, you will join our Global Coffee & Food application team, which is part of GEA Business Area Solutions.
Responsibilities / Tasks
As our new Process and Commissioning Technologist, you will gain a close relationship with our project team, but especially with our customers, when you establish and maintain a constructive and positive relationship with them.
More Specifically, You Will
- Support the installation of GEA Coffee & Food processing systems at project sites
- Plan, coordinate, and execute onsite installation
- Train customers and colleagues within extraction, freeze drying, and spray drying related processes
- Troubleshoot, support, and advise our customers with process problems and developments
- Collaborate with our project team on the development, installation, and testing of project-specific GEA systems, both remotely and onsite
- Participate in the handover process from sales and execution
- Provide constructive feedback for ongoing product development and improvements to GEA’s Coffee and Food solutions.
This role will take you travelling a minimum of 120 days per year to various execution project sites and customer locations. Normally, the travel will vary between 2-5 days and up to 2-5 weeks. However, longer projects for up to 8 weeks could also be required.
Your Profile / Qualifications
With your customer-centric mindset and motivation for working with a wide range of people in various professions, you are able to build great working relationships across the globe. Also, we imagine that you have experience with travelling for work and being away from home for longer periods of time.
Furthermore, We Hope That You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree or above in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering, or similar
- Preferably experience with freeze drying or spray drying processing for the food industry
- Motivation by working in different environments, e.g., office, laboratory, and industry/ large scale production
- English proficiency both written and orally
