Responsibilities
QUALITY SYSTEMS PROGRAM
• Implement quality systems new specifications and procedures and ensure compliance.Ensure that all SOS documentation, standards, process control procedures and analytical methods are available, and systems are followed. Function as a ‘’go-to’’ person for any raised issues. Decide on packaging issues that arise during production regarding packet quality attributes and packet weight control. • Generate a period report which contains all Quality KPI’s. Evaluate performance against last year and AOP, communicate to relevant departments and set up action plan to achieve continuous improvement. • Attend Quality Wall meetings both in Packaging and Process, monitor product quality and drive the agenda towards Gold Standard/PepsiCo Standards.• Set, organise, implement and monitor the site internal quality and environmental systems audit programme. External auditor for PC quality systems withing Pepsico.• Assess training needs, plan and execute annual training program for Quality Systems.• Analyse data from Frito Lay Challenge and In-Market Weak Link and report results. • Update logs for Hold/Release issues, set up preventative actions, recommendations and ensure implementation. Communicate via PepsiCo RM database all incidents.• Responsible for monitoring traceability procedures to all functions (Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Products). Ensure correct procedures are followed for product to be accurately traced from the supply of raw materials, through to the finished product and point of sale, “one step up, one step down” so as to meet legal compliance and minimize withdrawn quantities. • Initiate and coordinate Mock Recalls and Traceability Exercises, assess outcome and ensure regulatory compliance.• Support Agro department for implementing Vendor Assurance procedures to potato suppliers. In collaboration with production supervisors, Agro and QA Manager accept or reject a potato load under Agro agreements.
FOOD SAFETY
• Responsible to conduct Food Safety Internal Inspections, to set, organise, implement & maintain the Food Safety & HACCP Program, to follow up the action plan & corrective actions till completion• Responsible to keep Food Safety & Sanitation records updated & on time. Produce reports relative to Food Safety Performance (Food Safety Scorecards, Corrective Actions Reports, Microbiology Monitoring Program data analysis reports, Sanitation Performance Reports)• Responsible to coordinate all the processes & procedures in order to keep Food Safety & Sanitation Standards in high level. Provide expertise on Food Safety issues. Communicate & influence others in order to promote Food Safety awareness on site. Ensure compliance with GMPs & AIB Consolidated Standards requirements• Responsible to manage all Food Safety issues that may occur on site. Responsible to investigate & resolve Food Safety issues & organise Corrective Actions & follow up in collaboration with all cross functional departments in order to ensure Food Safety compliance • Lead, support & achieve all targets regarding Food Safety KPI’s (Food Safety Performance with Purpose, AIB Intl Food Safety Audit, FSSC/ISO 22000 Certification, Consumer Complaints, Recalls/Withdrawals & Hold/Release)• Responsible to develop & coordinate the PepsiCo Food Defense Program, to conduct Food Defense Inspections, to prepare the Audit Reports, and follow up the Corrective Actions. Carry out the Vulnerability Assessment on site and provide coaching & support to relevant stakeholders • Responsible to deliver the Annual Training Program on site (HACCP PRP Program, GMPs, Allergen Management) • Responsible to develop & monitor the site routine cleaning tasks & procedures; as well as those scheduled on the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS). Organise & review the MSS & the Cleaning Procedures where needed. Deliver coaching & one to one validation of key personnel in the Sanitation department. Responsible to coordinate & monitor all hygiene activities on site. Responsible to monitor & control Sanitation KPI’s (service, cost & quality) • Responsible to be the key contact person with the external contractors (Pest Control, Agency, Cleaning Chemicals Suppliers, External labs) regarding Food Safety & Sanitation topics
MY BUY END USER • Raising Purchase Requisitions (PR) in myBuy. Depending on request type this may also include:- Collaborating with suppliers via myBuy- Working with POC for non-catalogue items
- Registering receipt of goods & services in myBuy• Working through reconciliations if the invoice does not match the approved PO (Requestor will be notified about this via email)• Amending a PR or PO if the original need has changed
Qualifications
• Detailed knowledge of all aspects of quality systems implementation -A bachelor’s degree in science, Food science or engineering -Trained and certified as a Quality Systems auditor-Ability to identify trends and analyse data-Ability to resource networks with other Site Specialists and Regional Teams
• Well developed communication skills- Strong organizational, leadership & communication skills- Advanced facilitation skills for training purposes- One to one & group discussing
• Troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical thinking• Cost/quality balance appreciation• Language skills: Excellent level of English • Develop and manage own agenda
