We are looking for a highly skilled Business Development and Sales Executive to join our Health & Biosciences Division (H&B), who will successfully develop, maintain, and strengthen IFF’s relationship with customers in the dietary supplements/pharma industries in ANDEAN. This position offers an exciting role with much potential in a dynamic and strong industry. S/he will be responsible for achieving ambitious growth objectives for the Probiotics, Extracts, HMO, Bioscience business Unit, delivering on the budget, and ensuring that H&B meets or exceeds the customer needs and expectations. One of the main goals for this position is to create and maintain a robust project pipeline. Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is a must.
Key responsibilities
- Makes IFF H&B the partner of choice for Probiotics, Extracts and Bioscience: cultivates and develops professional and productive relationships with existing and potential customers that help to reach strategic revenue growth and profit goals
- Develops and manages an evergreen opportunity pipeline, strongly focusing on advancing the projects and continuously creating new opportunities
- Organizes and coordinates activities aimed to identify customers’ strategies, needs, and pains, as well as market trends, that could open new business opportunities for IFF H&B
- Is aware and understands the customers’ organizational structure, strategy, portfolio, performance, and market share
- Develops specific growth and defense strategies and plans for her/his accounts
- Keeps constant communication with her/his customers
- Offers technical and commercial solutions to customers
- Works continuously to strengthen her/his network at all levels within the customers’ organizations
- Monitors and communicates any change in her/his customers’ organizations that may affect our business either in a positive or negative way
- Develops account plans for key customers
- Defines a clear go-to-market strategy, considering direct customers and distributors
- Negotiates prices and contracts for current and future businesses
- Keeps close contact with the Regional Industry Leader regarding the competitive environment and our portfolio strategy
- Gets involved in initiatives targeted to develop specific markets segments, product lines, applications, and customers
- Acts as a link between the customers and all IFF’s areas (Customer Service; Application; Marketing & Communications; Logistics; Regulatory Affairs; Quality Assurance; others), meeting the requirements and service expectations of customers along the sales cycle
- Monitors possible risks for our businesses and shares them using the tools and channels provided by the company (Salesforce, forecasting tools, regional meetings, etc.)
- Maintains an accurate sales forecast for her/his accounts
- Follows up on customers’ complaints and negotiates internally to provide the best solution in the shortest possible time
- Gives support to solve payment disputes with the customers when needed
