As a EHS Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring proper EHS systems and efficient facilities to fulfil business needs and meet IFF corporate requirements, customer expectations and local EHS regulation. This position will report into the Plant Manager and be based on site.
How You Will Contribute
- Create, promote and maintain a safe and healthy working environment that meets local regulations and company guidelines.
- Establish, implement and maintain EHS program (Safety Image, Near Miss Program, 5W, PTW, PHA and Behaviour Observation) and policies to meet EHS KPI's.
- Coach peers in EHS related subjects, Coordinate EHS training, cascade down the EHS mindset and safety culture to working level.
- Initiate, plan, lead and implement the sustainability plan implemented on site.
- Initiate and lead the occupation hygiene program on site to cultivate employee’s awareness and reduce company risk exposure on labour dispute.
- Drive reduction of EHS risks by leading teams through safety program and continuous improvement.
- Train and Supervise the MOC program implemented at all departments
- Maintain all special permits and related licenses updated and valid as required by regulation.
- Manage social/EHS audits from third party, customer and government. Lead internal audits and vendor audits related to EHS issues.
- Keep good relationship with government to secure from EHS non-compliance.
- Coordinate with global & regional legal, EHS, GRA & quality to manage & support relevant projects related to EHS.
- Establish and maintain current expertise in the theory and practical application of human factors and behavioural safety appropriate for the business. Develop and deliver sustainable programs to effectively leverage the expertise for maximum impact.
- Influence senior managers on the leadership behaviours which support the various programs we have in place.
- To work with and provide functional leadership to the business and operational areas.
- To develop mechanisms with other members of the EHS team to ensure best practice is transferred and lessons learnt are communicated effectively across the business.
- Manage EHS team by coordinating goals setting for direct reports, regularly coaching and supervising their activities, and evaluating their performance.
- Continuously improve capability of the team by setting up and implementing personal development plan.
- Work and coordinate with regional and global safety.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health or any relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of EHS experiences within a multinational organization.
- Experiences in maintaining EHS System such as ISO 14000 and ISO 45000.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge in Food, Pharma operations such as GMP and food Safety.
