Lead the Maintenance Department
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in a science, engineering (ChE, ME, IE, or EE), or related field is preferred, with 12 years of manufacturing experience (at least 4 years of supervisory/leadership experience).
- 7+ years of experience as a Maintenance Superintendent in an industrial environment (a bachelor’s degree in Mech, ChE, or EE Engineering or related field could be substituted for years of relevant experience).
- An understanding of mechanical reliability and maintenance principles.
- Knowledge of:
- Maintenance procedures.
- Electrical distribution systems.
- Safe work practices.
- Electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Preventative/Predictive Maintenance.
- Facilities Maintenance.
- Computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience in Utilities, Boilers, High Speed Rotating Equipment, Pumps, Air, Refrigeration – preferred.
- Experience working in a PSM regulated facility.
- Effective communication with all levels of the organization including technicians, engineers, contractors, and management.
- Able to plan, prioritize, and implement multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build technical and soft skills in the work group.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with SAP.
- Willing and able to climb, stand, and walk on a regular basis while on the job.
- The ability to efficiently oversee and execute organizational and program policies.
- Demonstrated ability to build teams and drive operational efficiencies.
- Team player with the ability to gain consensus through collaboration and open dialogue.
- Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment
- Defining and implementing appropriate preventive maintenance practices to ensure operational availability of plant equipment.
- Working with maintenance resources to develop a high performing, customer focused team.
- Establishing best practices within the maintenance department.
- Ensuring that maintenance department objectives for safety, cost, and quality are met.
- Collaborating with Operations, Planning, and other site team members to safely and efficiently manage the equipment and facilities at the site.
- Overseeing the daily management of the site’s preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and work order management system.
