The technology has successfully proven its commercial value and already attracted world-leading companies and disruptive “scale up’s” within the plant, microbial and food producer space, demonstrating it's ability to accelerate innovation pipelines and sustainability development agendas.
We are looking for a Business Development Director to create value and build relationships in the trait development business across our three segments plants, microbes and food across the US.
The role:
You will be responsible for driving the commercialization within the business segments, which includes identification of commercial opportunities, negotiation of commercial contracts / agreements and development of market strategies. You will be responsible for the development and execution of our commercial strategy in the US and responsible for nurturing strong commercial relationships ranging from world-leading companies through to scale-ups.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the development of concept and strategies for go-to-market plans
- Identify sales opportunities and industry relationships that support our objectives
- Optimize pricing strategies and lead negotiations with world-leading customers and partners
- Provide market insights and translate these to business development plans
What we’re looking for:
- Strong commercial experience in a relevant industry such as ingredients, microbes, food production, plant breeding or grain trading
- Motivated to create value in the trait development business across the business segments; plants, microbes and food
- Solid track record in a B2B sales and marketing environment, with demonstrated experience in direct sales, contract management and preferably licensing agreements
- Strong communication, networking and presentation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and drive
- Academic degree, preferably in a commercial education
