THE ROLE
poppi is looking for a highly motivated and resourceful Senior Sales Planning Manager to drive strategic analysis and support the sales team in effectively managing the business. This role is responsible for analyzing customer performance, pulling and interpreting customer data, tracking results, and delivering key insights to enhance decision-making and execution. The ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead annual and monthly retail customer-level and DSD-level Sales Forecasting efforts, working cross-functionally with the Key Account Team, Field Sales Team, Demand Planning Team, and Finance Team to build monthly bottoms-up forecasts by customer.
Communicate adjustments across departments to ensure current KPI and tracking mechanisms are understood.
Lead monthly sales risks & opportunity assessments, utilizing internal and external data sources.
Examine monthly, quarterly, and annual sales data to identify sales patterns and areas for improvement, comparing actual sales data to revenue projections and expectations.
Use previous sales data and market trends to develop business recommendations that drives growth.
Lead space planning activities, fair share analysis, and leakage trees for key customers, including Whole Foods, Target, Kroger, Safeway, Walmart, and others.
Build trade spend forecasts to understand spending on off-invoice activities, slotting, discounts, allowances, promotional programs, coupons, and other above-the-line spends.
Analyze promotional lift to determine appropriate frequency and depth and recommend ways to optimize for future promotional calendars.
Create Customer presentations and category management recommendations for Buyers using all available data to help sell in innovation, secure incremental placements, and drive sustainable growth at retail.
Monthly reporting in collaboration with Finance Team.
Develop internal relationships with customers to become the go-to sales data resource person.
Stay on top of technical, industry, and business issues and trends affecting our sales and retail efforts.
Ad hoc project management/support to support growth programs (i.e. territory expansion, business cases for incremental resources to attack opportunities in the core universe).
Establish best practice reporting and manage report updates, both weekly and monthly.
Create templates and executive summaries to track core retail programs.
Assess market data from SPINS, Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, Numerator, Customer portals, and other sources, including brand and SKU levels, to identify areas where the company can increase its efforts.

YOUR BACKGROUND
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
5+ years of experience in beverage retail sales analysis; DSD brands preferred.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBi, Azure, Nielsen, IRI, and Retail Portal Data; advanced skills in Excel required.
Preferred technical experience across VIP, Kantar, and Numerator.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel for business related meetings.
Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for special assignments.

COMPENSATION
Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $135,000 - $145,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, minimum wage requirements, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
