IFF is looking for a Manufacturing Manager to join our team at the IFF Carrollton site. This location manufactures flavor ingredients that can be found in consumer products that people across the U.S. and around the world use every day. In this role you will be responsible for output from production team, including production against plan, yield, right first time quality and doing so with highest regard for Occupational and Food safety requirements, as well as manage the effective planning of production against customer demands in such a way that assets are optimized and customer delivery targets are met.
This position reports to the Site Plant Manager and be a key member of the Operations leadership team.
Job Responsibilities:
Production Management: Oversee blending, packing, weighing, and sanitation functions; work with Production Supervisor and shift leads; manage hiring/termination of plant personnel and temporary employees; approve plant overtime and shift adjustments; oversee annual performance appraisals.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet quality standards; follow FSSC 22000 procedures; enforce GMP standards; comply with FDA, TX Dept. of Health, and AIB practices.
Timely Production: Ensure timely production, packaging, labeling, and delivery of products to customers and other IFF locations.
Finished Goods Planning: Manage planning team to maintain stock levels and meet customer demand.
Safety Compliance: Ensure tasks are completed safely; enforce safety rules; work with EHS and Food Safety teams to promote safety culture.
Employee Engagement: Promote employee ownership and engagement in EHS activities.
Incident Investigation: Support incident investigation system; ensure proper classification and root cause analysis; implement corrective actions.
Data Management: Track production output, yield, capacity utilization, and other measures to support improvement.
Case Management: Manage injuries/illnesses with site leadership and medical case manager; ensure proper classification and OSHA recordkeeping.
Health Assessments: Coordinate annual medical exams and Occupational Health assessments.
Emergency Response: Support response teams in drills and actual incidents.
Logistics Coordination: Work with raw material planning and logistics teams to meet delivery targets.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operational management (or related field) or equivalent progressive work experience to compensate for degree.
- 10+ years experience in a food plant or related business
- 6+ years management or supervisory experience.
- Successful experience initiating productivity improvements to include implementation of new equipment or new process
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food and Safety Practices.
- Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Six Sigma Certification
