You will be part of the Global Sustainability department residing within Vestas' Global Sales; however, the department is working across the different EVP areas. In the Sustainability department, we are responsible for directing, proposing, and updating Vestas' sustainability strategy, as well as overseeing and coordinating the implementation of the strategy and the key initiatives identified to deliver on the company's sustainability commitments. In this regard, we work closely with a large number of functional areas, including Health, Safety & Environment, Power Solutions, Procurement, Finance, Global Supply Chain, Facility Management, Service, People & Culture, Corporate Social Responsibility, Investor Relations, and Sales. In the department, we are also responsible for sustainability reporting compliance, sustainability commercialization, sales enablement, and sustainability communication. In our day-to-day work, we engage with various external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, investors, and industry associations. Embedded in the department's responsibilities is also employee engagement linked to sustainability.
We have the responsibility to deliver a high standard of future-proofed sustainability reporting and are working closely with the Finance ESG Reporting team, which is responsible for data consolidation, data controlling, processes, and consolidation systems.
We report to the Executive Management, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors on the company's sustainability performance and key sustainability KPIs.
Responsibilities
Reporting to Vestas’ Head of Sustainability Reporting Compliance you have the opportunity to shape Vestas' future competitiveness and value offerings by contributing with your skills, business understanding, and sharp mind to a team responsible for the formulation and implementation of Vestas' sustainability strategy, delivering high-standard sustainability reporting, and ensuring we are on top of emerging sustainability regulations and rating platforms. In addition, your responsibilities will cover:
- Manage and deliver the Vestas sustainability statement in line with CSRD requirements in close collaboration with internal key stakeholders
- Manage and write narratives for selected sustainability disclosures in close collaboration with internal key stakeholders
- Oversee sustainability progress reporting such as, but not exclusively, quarterly reporting, sustainability-linked bonds and loans progress reports. In close collaboration with the Reporting team in Group Finance as well as Treasury and Investor Relations
- Manage Vestas ESG Rating platforms
- Provide support for limited assurance
- Contribute to the continuous review and update of the company's sustainability goals and commitments
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with high-standard sustainability disclosures, communications, and integrated reporting
- A relevant academic background at the Master's level where sustainability has been an integrated part
- Experience in transforming sustainability disclosures into a compelling narrative
- Profound knowledge of existing, new, and emerging sustainability reporting regulations, standards, and guidelines
- Experience from above, including experience managing larger projects involving many internal stakeholders
- Experience from working in a complex, international corporate culture
- Fluent in verbal and written English
