Supplier and Material Certification:
- Manage supplier approval processes to meet food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000).
- Conduct supplier audits, perform risk assessments, and review supplier documentation.
- Review and approve raw material specifications and Certificates of Analysis (COA).
Food Safety Management:
- Lead supply chain risk management initiatives to ensure food safety across the supply chain.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve food safety protocols in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Support internal and external audits, including those by customers and regulatory bodies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with R&D and production teams to integrate food safety requirements into products and processes.
- Advise procurement teams on food safety considerations for suppliers and raw materials.
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to maintain alignment with industry best practices.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date documentation system for approved suppliers and materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 3-5 years of experience in food safety and quality control, with an emphasis on suppliers and supply chain management.
- In-depth knowledge of international food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, GFSI, FSSC 22000, BRC).
- Proven experience in supplier audits or certification processes — mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments.
- High proficiency in English (written and spoken) for effective communication with international suppliers and stakeholders.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with GMP work environments.
- Experience in the food tech industry — an advantage.
