Launched in 2021, our chef-crafted veggie burgers are available nationally in about 6,000 retail doors including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Kroger, and Albertsons/Safeway. The Director of Sales will be responsible for maintaining and growing Actual Veggies Conventional Customer Base, including but not limited to, US Grocery. This role will be fast, fun with endless potential to learn across additional channels and functions. The Director of Sales will have the chance to lean into tremendous potential to help take Actual Veggies to more places.

What You Will Do:
Develop and exceed topline targets around velocity, dollar productivity, and ACV in the market.
Develop and report on trade plan strategy across all retailers in your book of accounts, including current and prospects.
Exceed growth targets of current retailer partners with both innovation and growing existing business on shelf.
Build and maintain key retailer relationships with buyers across categories.
Responsibilities:
Manage and call on Conventional Accounts including but not limited to Albertsons/Safeway, HEB, Target, Ahold, and Wakefern
Manage various broker partners to ensure the company’s best foot is forward in front of all retailers and buyer relationships, ensuring alignment with founders on strategy.
Manage distributor networks to ensure product is in stock, sell-through rates are matching expectations, and that pricing strategy aligns across all channels.
Work closely with finance to review trade spend management and deductions are in line with forecast and strategy.
Develop and execute accurate forecasts, working closely with Operations to support regular S&OP meetings, and provide weekly progress updates against top deliverables.
Work closely with Marketing to develop and maintain a coordinated strategy for driving trial and executing against growth KPI’s, including sales collateral, in-store marketing materials, and field marketing programs.
Represent Actual Veggies at trade shows and key industry events and meetings.
Qualifications:
8+ years of CPG sales experience on an emerging brand team.
Experience with frozen conventional channels is a must, and with mass/club a bonus. Established buyer relationships in these channels are a plus.
Experience managing various networks of brokers and distributors.
Strong organization skills and confidence in communications.
Must be self-motivated and proactive, and adaptable to bootstrap needs.
Experience working directly with founders and comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent. Proficient computer skills, specifically in MS Office applications
Willing to travel up to 50% of the time for customer-facing meetings and trade shows.
