About the job
At Meatable, we make 100% real, delicious, guilt-free meat. With one sample of cells, we are pioneering our way of producing real meat without harm. Join our dynamic scale-up environment in a new exciting industry and work with the best & brightest in the field. Are you the one we are looking for, to make a change without compromise?
About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and talented Bioprocess Scientist to join our Bioreactor and scaling team. As a Bioprocess Scientist you will be responsible for performing studies into different aspects of cultured meat production. As a part of a multifunctional team, you will work together to support the development and scale-up of a cell culture process ensuring our patented animal cell lines perform optimally in large scale bioreactor processes focusing on maximizing yield while controlling costs.
In the role of Bioprocess Scientist, you will spend a large portion of your time on the design, planning, reporting and presenting of the studies, but you will also personally spend time assisting the planned experiments in our R&D facility. You will actively be involved with other teams for cross functional research projects for media optimization and cell line selection studies.
In order to be successful in this role you need to be able to work independently, but also communicate effectively with multifunctional teams to reach a common goal. You have a good scientific background, but also get enthusiastic about thinking outside-the-box to find a solution. You need to be flexible to changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-growing organization.

Improvement of processes for proliferation and differentiation of animal cell lines in suspension and scale-up to larger scale bioreactors for efficient cultivated meat production
Tech transfer of processes towards external parties
Set-up of reduced scale bioreactor models for small scale screening studies
The design, planning, performance, reporting and presenting of experiments
Leading internal projects on content
Guiding and training of technicians
Critical interpretation and analysis of results
