The Global EHS Sr Manager will lead a team responsible for EHS program training development, proper usage and continuous improvement of the EHS corporate system of record and EHS related communications. Providing guidance and assisting the team related to their daily work activities. Working closely with the Operations excellence team ensuring the proper usage and improvement initiatives for the corporate system of record based on EHS needs. The team strives for accurate information & data management measuring EHS performance based on leading and lagging metrics.
Training is based on Instructional System Design techniques, ensuring that the target audience and type of training is appropriate for the audience.
The team is providing content and is executing the yearly EHS communications planning
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the competency team within Global EHS.
- Cascade EHS global strategy and objectives to the team and track progress.
- Define and develop EHS training strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ensure training tools and programs are applicable internationally and leverageable across the organization.
- Benchmark EHS training programs through external associations for continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement technology solutions to support the training strategy (e.g., VR training).
- Develop and manage the EHS yearly communications plan, ensuring clear and concise messaging.
- Partner with various departments to align objectives and practical execution.
- Drive culture change through leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
- Ensure consistent implementation of EHS processes and practices to improve speed, quality, and sustainability.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Management, Instructional system design (ICD) or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design. EHS experience highly preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time on a global scale
- Usage of computer applications and e-learning software such as Articulate and Workday.
- SCORM design is a plus
- Technical background for technology related trainings (Process safety) is a plus
- EHS auditing experience is a plus
