We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Laboratory Technician/Research Associate to join our Human Health team, which focuses on improving metabolic and digestive health through probiotics/postbiotics and dietary supplements. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of our project activities by managing daily laboratory tasks and support product candidate screening and mode of action understanding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology techniques and cell-based in vitro assays, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Mammalian cell and bacteria culture maintenance
- Administration, including inventory management, EHS compliance, and ensuring adherence to policies and regulations related to our laboratory activities
- Support platform and project development by assay optimization, validation and product candidate screening
- Experimental work, including experimental planning, design, execution and documentation
- Data analysis, report and visuals generation, and communication of the results
- Various ad hoc tasks

Qualifications
- Laboratory Technician, Academy Profession graduate in Biotechnical Science, or BSc. degree in a relevant field (e.g., molecular biology, molecular medicine, biotechnology, biology), or similar, with 3+ years of research experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture methodologies as well as design and execution of cell-based in vitro biological screening assays, such as reporter gene assays, receptor binding, etc
- Excellent laboratory and trouble-shooting skills within molecular biological assays (e.g., ELISA, Multi-Plex, Western Blot, RT-qPCR, RNA extraction)
- Hands-on experience with microbial cultivation
- Solid English written and oral capabilities are required for communication.
- Ability to work independently, in a structured manner, with large sample sets, strong attention to detail, and striving for high scientific standards
- Proactively engage as a dynamic team player with an honest and responsible mindset, and positive attitude towards new challenges and ideas
- Enjoys laboratory work and routine tasks
