Founded in 2018, Lisaqua is an impact start-up that raises shrimp in land-based
farms, with no impact on the environment. Its mission: to produce better, with fewer resources.
Thanks to its patented technology, Lisaqua offers the first fresh shrimp, guaranteed without antibiotics or preservatives, raised in France.

Lisaqua’s ambition is to become the leader in healthy, sustainable aquaculture. A network of farms in France and Europe will enable us to produce several tens of thousands of tonnes per year. Lisaqua’s shrimps, which are local and environmentally friendly, will thus be accessible to as many people as possible. Lisaqua is a winner of the FrenchTech AGRI20 scheme, the European gas pedal EIT Food and a member of La Ferme Digitale.

Internship description (the tasks, responsibilities, benefits) :
Responsibilities As part of the engineering team working on aquaculture farm construction projects in the design and execution phases, you will be responsible for technical studies related to the shrimp production line, from harvesting to product packaging.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Designing and selecting new installations, developing tools for process sizing, and automating and mechanizing operations
- Defining specifications for partner design offices, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Participating in farming and packaging operations at the pilot unit to stay close to the field and incorporate feedback into the design
- Defining and monitoring product quality testing programs and continuous improvement processes to enhance packaging performance
- Creating reports, tracking action plans and schedules, leading work and steering meetings, and drafting meeting minutes
- Conducting benchmarks and staying up-to-date on technology in aquaculture, agriculture, and food processing
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations
Desired Profile:
- Education: Final-year student in an engineering program (Bachelor’s or Master’s level), with a generalist focus or specialization in food processing or automated industrial processes
- Skills: Proficiency in CAD tools (such as SketchUp) is appreciated
- Soft Skills: Strong listening and adaptability skills, a desire to learn, interest in innovation and the startup ecosystem
- Personal Qualities: Autonomous and proactive, with a strong sense of rigor, analytical thinking, and the ability to synthesize information
- Languages: Fluent in both French and English for communication with our European partners
