Job Description This position is responsible for keeping the production facility in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties on production lines, such as cleaning equipment, washing floors and walls, removing garbage, and other duties to support plant sanitation. TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assures conformance with sanitation standards by: · Keeping the area clean and walkways free of product and debris. · Cleaning floors and equipment. · Comply with all safety policies, practice, and procedures. · Complete accurate paperwork for sanitation areas and job. · Report sanitation deficiencies to QA Supervisor · Sweep out freezer bays, racks and loading dock areas. · Handle and apply cleaning chemicals safely, following prescribed concentrations and dwell times. · Conduct pre-op inspections to verify the cleanliness of equipment before production begins. · Follow all food safety regulations, including GMPs, HACCP and allergen control procedures. · Performs other duties as assigned by supervisory or lead personnel. Supervisory Duties (if applicable) ● None QUALIFICATIONS Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience: ● High School Diplomas or GED preferred. ● Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions effectively and efficiently. ● Previous experience in sanitation whithin a food manufacturing facility preferred Other qualifications: WORK ENVIRONMENT ● Work in cold environment, both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions ● The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 10 pounds up to 25 pounds. ● Willing to work weekends as needed Hourly rate commensurate with experience The starting hourly base pay for this role is USD $20.00. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
