As HR Manager you will act as a trusted advisor, coach, and consultant for managers and employees at the production plant in Tilburg (600 employees and 150 contingent workers). This role is critical in executing our key HR initiatives, providing available and responsive internal management support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. In this role you will handle country specific issues related to labor relations and employee relations and be in dialogue with social partners and work council. This position is part of the local management team and develops and implements medium to long-term HR solutions aligned to business strategy.
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor, coach, and consultant for business leaders by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the business strategy, workforce plan, and the implications of each on leader decisions made in Tilburg.
- Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvements.
- Partner with the business to lead both annual and mid-and review processes which focus on performance management.
- Provide compensation support to managers, promotions and job re-leveling.
- Is first contact to Works Council. Facilitates meetings and ensures correct follow up.
- Is part of negotiation team for company Collective Labor Agreement (CLA). Prepares data, proposes updates and is involved in negotiation strategy and responsible for implementation of a new CLA.
HR team leadership
- Leads a team of 2 HR coordinators, focused on administrative support for IFF Netherlands, and 1 HR BP, focused on production locations Tilburg, Ouderkerk aan de Ijssel and Zaandam. Has together with the HR BP the shared responsibility for all business partnering in Tilburg.
- Supports the transition from local HR administration to centralized HR support in the HR Shared Service Center in Budapest.
- Ensures that policies and changes to HR processes are translated to Standard Operating Procedures. And coordinates implementation with all relevant COE’s.
HR Analytics
- Ensure HR Data integrity and efficiency in the HR administrative process.
- Ensure timely and accurate input of data into various HR systems by you and your team.
- Regularly audit system data to ensure accuracy and sharing insights into data impacting the HR analytics dashboard.
Change management
- Through subject matter expertise and connection to the COE’s, provides recommendations and support business leaders in implementing change management plans related to organization structure, work design, and team-based systems, and support organizational communications.
- Lead and support process improvement efforts dedicated to improving organizational performance and efficiency.
People Relations & HR Strategy
- Understands the business strategy, workforce plan, and supporting HR talent processes; drives adoption and execution of company talent management processes (succession planning, leader development, performance management, etc.) that deliver the strategy.
- Partner with Business Unit leaders in driving culture change and embedding purpose and values within BU; enhancing organizational effectiveness and change management capability in BU;
- Ensure legal mandatory requirements for people related aspects (governmental audits, etc)
- Work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests.
- Responsible for all the expatriate/inpatriate flow together with the host/home country analyzing and communication of all impacts for the employee and working very closely with the appropriate transfer brokers.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate local learning solutions, team development interventions, and assessments debrief, as needed.
- Plans, develops, implements and enables global and regional corporate HR initiatives that are aligned with business strategies.
- Supporting the leadership team in nurturing a culture of diversity and inclusion in BU.
- Support global and local initiatives defined on annual calendar (International Women’s Day, LGBT+, Inclusion Week) by creating and executing a plan for each event and engaging employees participation and leadership sponsorship.
- Support the Global DE&I team in submissions and certification processes (EDGE, DisabilityIN, Workplace Pride)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration or related field is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Fluent in Dutch and English (must)
- Knowledge of local labor law
- High attention to detail, data accuracy and critical thinking skills
- Good communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Experience with HRIS systems. Experience with Workday is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced in Excel is a plus

- Salary depending on experience and education (EUR 70.000 - EUR 90.000)
