IFF Health & Biosciences is setting up to transform the Personal Care ingredients industry. Changing industry demands to deliver both performance and sustainability are creating opportunities for IFF’s unique biotechnology capabilities and portfolio of natural ingredients. 2023 saw the launch of the award-winning AURIST™ range based on the transformational Designed Enzymatic Biomaterials technology, and we are now seeking an experienced Personal Care sales professional to develop Beauty & Personal Care customers and opportunities for IFF Health & Biosciences in EMEA.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage a customer base with a strong focus on relationship building and opportunity development, including regional and Global Key Accounts. Develop a deep understanding of the customers’ business and growth.
- Develop business opportunities for portfolio and pipeline of innovative and transformational personal care ingredients with existing and new customers.
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of personal care product lines and services; bring forward subject matter expertise throughout the entire buying process. Introduce and promote new products / concepts to customers.
- Manage and build strong, long-lasting relationships with key customer decision makers and stakeholders at all levels and functions (R&D, procurement, marketing, quality, supply chain, executive level); effectively lead IFF (internal) multi-functional key account teams to support building customer relationships. Provide market insights to the global organization.
- Develop and execute account plans for key regional (and global) accounts, including sales pipeline, relationship strategy, to grow and expand business.
- Execute global and regional personal care business strategies.
- Contribute to the global Personal Care and EMEA market strategy, representing key regional customer needs.
- Monitor and share with colleagues on competitive activity and product launches
- Represent IFF at key regional and global PC events (InCosmetics, SEPAWA, Technical Meetings, Etc.)
Requirements:
- 8 – 10 years of sales experience in supplying Beauty & Personal Care ingredients.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree required – preferably in science related field. Strong science interest.
- Functional skills – proven business planning, sales/networking, execution and follow-through skills required; experience setting annual goals and action plans for territory including key account plans; experience providing education and training to influence sales growth for specialty products; demonstrated success in identifying and developing new business opportunities into sales; excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven track record in relationship building and management
- Leadership/behaviors: excellent customer focus, proactive, collaborative, self-motivated, driven to compete and succeed, high ethical standards.
- Fluent English, French and /or German is a plus.
- travel up to 50% of time.
