Position Title: Food Safety (QA) Manager

Compensation: $67,400-$90,000/Year
Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Insight Global is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager for one of their clients. This role involves leading and managing food safety initiatives to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, industry best practices, and company policies. Daily responsibilities include developing and enhancing food safety programs such as HACCP, GMPs, and FSMA, performing risk assessments, and conducting various audits. The Quality Assurance Manager will work closely with other departments to foster a culture of food safety excellence, conduct wheat and flour testing, manage flour specifications, and handle finished product Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and customer complaints. They will also maintain all necessary records and documentation to support mill quality and food safety programs. Leadership is crucial, as the manager will oversee a team of quality assurance and food safety professionals and, in some locations, may also manage the grain elevator department. A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills are essential for effectively managing these daily tasks.
Must Haves:
2-7 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager in the food industry
High School Diploma or GED
Plusses:
Experience working in a flour milling environment
Certifications in PCQI, HACCP, SQF, Food Defense
Bachelor's Degree
TWIC Certification
